'volunteer' child models - is this acceptable?

just saw this ad for child models to spend a week in France for a catalogue shoot. It is unpaid but their trip to France is covered and they get some vouchers to spend in the store they are modelling for and some photos to keep! Parents are not paid a chaperone fee either but expected to be on call all week as and when they are needed, waiting around etc! Interesting reading the comments on the thread as most people not only seem very keen but think it is a good thing - what do others think? Clever idea of the company in question or a bit exploitative?

Very tacky and grabby of the Company. I imagine they will get enough mugs takers though. Wink

We went, it was great fun.
The company spent a great deal of money on us, and weren't at all exploited. Parents of child models don't get chaperone fees anyway. It would have been a lot cheaper for them to hire french models.
Free holiday, vouchers, meet some great people, my child got to play with other kids all week, professional pictures of our children. It was a great experience.
