anyone help with webcams/ NetMeeting?

That's it really! Managed to install a new mini webcam but can't get any audio (it's meant to have a microphone but am assuming it's inside somewhere). Also have no idea how to 'talk' via it despite setting up Netmeeting successfully- hwo do I add contacts and then 'talk' to them.
PLease help- have spent all afternoon on this and got nowhere

You can use it via msn messenger or skype.

With netmeeting you need the IP address of the person you want to talk to and then you dial it iirc. Have you checked your speakers are switched on and the mute button isn't on on your pc? Click on the volume icon in the bottom right corner of your screen.

Speakers are definitely on and volume is high but it just won't bleemin well work. Fed up of watching myself back gawping like a goldfish. Not a pleasant sight let me tell you!

I've tried fiddling about to use MSn instead but I need to wait until one of my contacts is signed on, which won't be until later. This is why I hate technology.
