I have just bought a car and as I have been on my husbands insurance for years what do I do about no claims bonus. I have held my driving license for 12 years and before I got married had builkt up 7 years of no claims. I have still not had an accident but do i revert to 0 no claims again?

We are with More Than and they do transfer it but only on renewal I think

I am trying to get quotes online as many offer discounts for buying online but they ask for no claims details and I'm just not sure what to put.

yes but had it less than a year.

Its dh uncles who died recently. really looked after and its a vauxhall astra. will be ok as a run around for me and dd especially with SPD. The six walks a day between playschool home and nursery are killing me!

unless you check with the insurer they generally won't accept your no claims bonus if it is more than 2 years since you held a policy in your name.. don't put that you have earnt the NCB as unforunately as it was in dh's name you get nowt.. however, most inusrers will give a spouse that has been a named driver for 5+ years the equivalent discount (usually between 60/70%) for your driving experience as long as you have been claim free. It is worth speaking to some companies if you get silly prices, as the underwriter may give you more discount if they know more about your driving history..hope that helps! try confused.com.... saved me a packet

same people he is with for the other car. they borrowed some of his no claims discount and put it on mine to make it cheaper! That'll do for me!
