Email them, keep irriating them, find out when it was dispatched and tell them it must be lost in the post and you want to re-order with 24 hr delivery unless they arrive by Wednesday.

I found they were really quick at sorting problems if they know about them!! Although a refund did take about 2 - 3 weeks to process.

BadHair · 15/12/2003 14:26

Took 3 weeks for me to get a CD that said 10 days. I swear my constant nagging only made them delay it more. They probably spat in the wrapper too if I did but know it.

coddy - don't know how good they are at emails, but they are fantastic on the phone. I've had two parcels replaced so far (I order a lot ) and the second one was actually my fault - I didn't take the ticket to the post office in time.

Does it say they've been despatched?

codswallop · 15/12/2003 15:05

No ..
whats the number?

OP posts:
codswallop · 15/12/2003 15:06

Crunchie · 15/12/2003 15:18

I couldn't find a phone number, but if they say it's been dispatched then it MUST be lost.

SenoraPostrophe · 15/12/2003 15:28

damn - the must have closed the call centre - there used to be a phone number on the order confirmation email. I guess you need to wait for a reply to your email.

codswallop · 15/12/2003 15:33

No that was the estimated time - it hadnt been disp[atched!!

Thanks for starting this, coddy - I ordered some stuff on the 9th, assuming it would easily get here on time, have just checked and despatch date is 18th-25th, arrival date 19th-28th. Bastards.

If anyone wants popular CDs/DVDs/games I can recommend play.com - cheap, quick and no p&p. (But CDs are described as possibly having different playing order, if not some different tracks, because they're not sourced in the UK - only come from Jersey though so import duty doesn't seem to be an issue.)

Can recommend cd wow for cds and dvds, have had brilliant service from them personally and like the fact that delivery is included in the price shown.

JanHR · 15/12/2003 16:14

Another vote for play.com DP uses them all the time.
Each item is shipped seperately, so if you order 5 items you get 5 different packages.

Hayls · 15/12/2003 16:21

I just spent a fortune on CDs from Amazon and finally got round to listening to all of them- except one because they'd sent a blank case! SO my advice is to check the CD's are in the cases. I emailed them and they have promised to send another one out but want the blank case back

bluestar · 15/12/2003 16:22

I ordered stuff from Amazon on 2 occasions and both arrived very quickly. Just ordered more stuff so hope I am not made to eat my words!
