On Friday, I took my old one back to Argos. To replace another one from Argos. Then I got a new, spanking one from Argos.

It's not that they weren't working - they weren't - but H made a comment to dds.

"Your mother thinks it's cheaper to change the cleaner rather than the bags."

And, spookily enough, I had to agree with him. I'm not abusing the system at all, just amazed at how they can offer a 3 year cover when if after a year it all goes tits up they'll replace it anyway.

Any thoughts?

And I know some of you are high falutin' businesswomen, and this is dead dull! Grin

Made my day, anyway!

Do you mean that you can get a cheapo cleaner from Argos and use it until it breaks (which is always within 3 yrs) and just return it and get a new one?

I bought a Tesco value one the other day for less than £19. Mainly so I could suck the air out of my vacuum storage bags! Our rented house onlly has carpet in the lounge and stairs, and there's a very ancient Dyson but it has no hose left, so can't vac the stairs or do useful things to storage bags.

Carm - yes, it seems so, though that was never my intention.

Phew! What is it with coddy and her 'I've just done upstairs'?

Still going all hands on deck downstairs, and it still doesn't look any different!

Carm - within 1 year for Argos.
