hello, does anyone feel once it gets dark at 3.30 ish that it's a real effort to drag yourself out of the house to do stuff(so you don't become a couch potato), or am I just going mad?...Is your home too comfortable to go out after dark. (in the Summer I am a totally different person, full of energy, want to be out in the garden, doing stuff all night literally..Wonder if this is a common occurence in the winter months. Am normal

Hi Lavender1 yes you are normal i feel exactly the same i think its where your home is so nice and snuggly and warm that the thought of going out that door in the cold wet etc is not nice.....who wants to go out if they don't have too?? i love being in my home but it is nice to get out once in a while ......i hate winter ! :0) If no one else thinks this is normal then we are both abnormal and counch potatoes!! ;0)

Outside???? I have problems enough getting out of bed in this weather!

suzywong · 12/12/2003 21:35

absolutely right, the outside world is baaaaaaaaad.
And what are we trying to prove by going out anyway, we've all been there done that. Get cosy and chill out inside.

My ds 2.7 has that attitude too and what I thought was stubbornness in his refusal to get togged up and go to the park and leave the house is simply that he prefers to hang out indoors on a crappy day

It's the shortest day soon then it's all up hill from there

Plus I went to Thornton's today and bought a little something for myself amongst all that christmas shopping and I ain't gong nowhere til the box is empty

Well, rest assured I'm just the same

I got all excited tonight as I didn't have to go out into the cold to do the "Brownie" run

DH is out at his Christmas 'do' and I'm embarrassed to say I've just woken from a little "nap" on the sofa. 8yo DD got dropped off from Brownies, we lay on the sofa together - I "dropped" off - DD fed up and gone to bed

Hope I'm a bit more lively tomorrow night - I'm out on my Christmas 'do'!
