I wanted Stuart Maconie

Don't mind Chris Evans and he has grown on me in the last few years but don't think that the music on his Saturday afternoon show is brilliant.

Will give him a try

To be honest he is why I switched over to Radio 2, the language on his breakfast show was foul.
I would have much prefered Stuart Maconie too

I love Johnnie Walker and I can't stand Chris Evans. That's teatime ruined.

Think chris has gone off the boil, used to listen to him on Virgin, but I still like him - am I the only one!! Wish radio 2 would do something about the morning slots, I don't switch it on till 12 for Jeremy Vine which is the best radio show on 2.

Evans was good on GLR in the early 90's (anyone remember the vicar's phone-in where he'd play their favourite hymn?) but imo is well past his sell by date

Man I miss working - I used to drive around and listen to Wogan, Jimmy Young/Jeremy Vine and Johnny Walker in the car. I'm afraid that Noddy and Fifi Forgetmenot rule this house at breakfast time
Have to say I'll be glad Johnny Walker's false teeth are no longer on the air - you can hear the way he clenches his jaw to hold them in when he speaks these days and I'm sorry but it makes my hair stand on end. I prefer Stuart Maconie too.
