boring domestic question - how do you get deodrant marks out of shirts?

dh has white marks in his shirts (deodrant) How do you get them out?

there is no way. my dw spends ages trying to get these out with no success. the under the arm patches just don't come out.

vinegar rings a bell for some reason, white wine vinegar i think.

I haven't found anything that works. I tried white wine vinegar once but it just ate a hole in the material, not quite the result I was looking for.

I need to know too DH puts far too much on i think and it builds up til its stiff (yuk yuk I know .

Do you have something called Oxyclean there? It is in most grocery, drug, variety stores here. I had some black maternity clothes I wanted to sell on ebay but they had deodorant marks on them, and someone told me to try that and they came out, which really surprised me.
