tells you the full name and address of anyone on the electoral rol..surely this is against data protection laws?
we choose to be ex directory so i am horrified that by putting my name and 'london' as an area brings up my full name and address and a link to a map of where i live!

This is public information. Didn't you all wonder why you get so much junk mail? Lots of it's from the electoral roll.

The electoral roll is a freely available document to anyone who wishes to read it. There is a box you can tick to prevent your personal details appearing on it.

Course it's allowed! What are you all moaning for if you didn't tick the box to withold your name from the register?

Trying to think of famous people in my town, I could only come up with our MP. And it turns out that the sarky sod who lives just up the road must be none other than our MP! Well, now I know who he is, I won't be voting for him again...

We're ex directory due to DP's job, as his name is a little unusual, especially up here. We're still registered at our first London address though! Have moved twice since then.

I quite like this though! Looked up old nasty boyfriend and he is still at home with his parents! .

It's several years old because it's still got me down at my address from 4 years ago! I've moved twice since then and voted at my new address too, so I wouldn't trust it to give completely accurate stalker ammunition!

Just click on PEOPLE at the top and enter name and i think you need a general location

WWW - you have to register and then you scroll about half way down the page and search under the person search.

i found out about it when trying to find ex to cough up child maintenance found him and his new wifes address im not on there so he cant find me!!

i looked up my ex and found that he registed at his parents house and also as living with his best mate... pmsl.. didn't get a life after me then
