very late response, sorry, not on MN much atm.

'original' huncamunca (Princess Huncamunca, no less!) appears in a 1731 play by Henry Fielding - 'The Tragedy of Tragedies, or Tom Thumb' - which burlesques contemporary theatre, google came up with a link to \link{http://www.offtp.co.uk/thumb.html\this} modern production (it's rarely performed).
there's useless bit of info for the day quota filled anyway!
