Got a call from a friend today to tell me that my dh and I friend was in hospital on a life support machine, we rushed up to hospital.

He has a fractured skull, bleading in the brain and is clinically brain dead.

They did not know if he had fallen or been hit - it turns out that 3 independant witnesses have came forward to say that they seen him being attacked at 1am this morning.

They are going to do a test at 6am and them again at 7am if there is no brain activity they are talking about switching the life support machine off.

Does anyone have any encouraging stories to keep me going during the night.

Sorry for posting such a horrible story but looking for some light!!

sammac I dont live very far away from you then, have you bee along to the cross today - we left him the scotland top and scarf, a teddy from the kids, and a bet from the bookies!!

It's so awful went up to his house today and his dw has it spotless for him coming home and now we have found out that he wont be home for about another week, she is devatated. Two 17 year olds are being held in custody - what a waste of their lives and their families too!!

Didn't go past today, but was at La vita on Sunday tea-time so was close by.

I'm sorry that this has been delayed- it will seem to be going on forever for everyone. You are being such supportive friends to his dw, and I know it is hard for you too.

17 year olds! To have devestated so many lives- sad.

expatinscotland · 01/03/2006 19:02
