I NEED DVD help...please?

OK a year ago we bought a recording dvd player and never got it to record
So in Sept we bought another (for DH) and we still can't get it to record

We got a friend in to help us with first one...& we were using the wrong DVD's (using DVD+ should be DVD-)

Now of course we can record on both DVD's but they won't play on either the DVD in the kitchen (justa player) or DH's Portable

Can I fix this problem??

Most cheap DVD players wont play DVD-, need to have a recorder that writes to DVD+R in the first place. Sorry to bring bad news.

Have you finalized the disks that you record on the dvd recorders before playing them on the machines that are just dvd players? Most aren't compatible until you'ved done this.

Thanks for the bad news Wideawake.....it may mean a redistribution of the DVD's

I did work out finalazing (only took me about 6 weeks) So anyone want a cheap DVD recorder
