oooh harman!!!
Don;t feel so down on yourself!!!
I have no advice (as i partly feel the same as you do...) but chin up!!!

If you wait until Jan you will only succeed in making yourself feel worse, and you won't enjoy Xmas. My advice is start sorting yourself out now, and on christmas day eat what ever you like and get back on track on boxing day or even the day after.
The problem with new years resolutions is that you start off with good intentions but end up putting too much pressure on yourself and you get p**sed off.
Do you have a partner who will support and encourage you? If not confide in a close friend or family member, and ask them to help you. Also, go see your doctor, you may have depression which they could help you with, and not just with drugs if your woorried about that. Hope this helps, keep posting and let us know what you're up too.

(((hugs))) Agree with happy that you would be better starting to change things now, but do it because you want to rather than to suit other people's expectations of you.

Relax, work out what you need to do to make yourself feel better and do it - but don't take on too much at the same time that you won't stick to as that will make you feel worse.

harman agree with the others START TODAY.

I felt like this at the beginning of last year.I felt a useless frump and just in the same old rut and wanted a change.I had let myself go.I was stuck in 24/7 and getting bored.

I started off with buying some sexy underwear (not for dh for me)to make me feel like a woman not just mum and wife.
I then progressed to gentle 5 min exercising and getting body toned up, and going on a sunbed.Doing my hair, getting new make-up and clothes etc etc.
After a couple of months all this came together and I felt like a million dollars. It boosted my confidence and relationship up tremendously.
Then the biggie I started to then go out to the pub and enjoy myself.
HTH
take care

Morning Harman,

I agree with Beetroot - I did a detox last month for 3 weeks (Supposed to it for 4) I felt great both during and after - although I didn't lose alot of weight I just felt better knowing I was only putting good things in my body (I did carry on smoking though - couldn't give up that and wine at the same time!!!) I slept much better, had more energy and lovely clear skin. I am going to do it again next week - just for the week to get ready for Xmas and all the nice food and drink we all seem to consume. If you want some moral support please contact me - I have a summary sheet of the food you can and can't eat. I did it with my mum last month - and she lives in America - we just emailed each other daily with what we had eaten. Suprisingly I now really like lentils!!! Good Luck and I hope whatever you decide that you feel better soon. Have a lovely Xmas.
