Who can help me with a couple of technical questions about MSN?

I upgraded my MSN today to the above version.

Is it possible to change my address? and if so how? I have clicked all over the place, but can't find anyway of changing it.

Secondly, is it possible to retain a transcript (for want of a better word) of conversations had with people on MSN?

Thank you.

LOL I am just a little obsessed myself

RAB has got to be Sirius's brother do you think? Maybe the locket is in Grimald place?

Harry and Ginny are sweet, shame that him seeing her will make her a target. (shes been through half the lads at hogwarts though! )

Harry will be totally lost after losing both D and Sirius.

oooh harry potter fans!! can i join in?
hey lonely mum/dumbledores girl! cool name change! hows it going? guess where dh is ? yes work thats right

Sorry girls, went to bed, but I am up for some discussion throughout today (or any day actually).

Tamba, if you re read Bk 5 whee they are cleaning up Grimmauld Place, you will find a blinding clue. There is a locket (I think) or something else, that no-one can open. Go on, go and look. I reckon that is the horcrux that RAB got. And yes, RAB has to be Sirius' brother because I have read an interview with JKR in which she says that there are no substantial new characters to be introduced in Bk 7.

Also, don't want to ruin your day but I think Hagrid cops it in Bk 7.

Alexsmum, is dh away or was he just working late last night? What are your pet theories for Bk 7?

Noooooooooo not Hagrid what makes you think that? Is Harry destined to lose all his father figures?

I remember the locket - has to be it doesnt it.

I wonder how and if snape will appear in the next book? I feel a little sorry for Draco, he had a rough time.

DumbledoresGirl · 26/02/2006 13:31

Feel sorry for Draco? I would stamp on him if I met him! So pity here for the Dark Arts. I must be really horrid as I don't even want Draco to be saved.

As for Hagrid, I think I read it somewhere. Sorry. Better him than Ron or Hermione though?

NO pity here for the Dark Arts.

Draco is very impressionable though and he did have the influence of his father over him all the time and he did lower his wand in the end...

Will harry be returning to Hogwarts or is he going to go off to Godrics Hollow? Im not sure what the next book is going to be like... surely Harry cant defeat voldermorte without dumbledore??

Twinkles · 26/02/2006 13:49

Girls, love the conversation, 3/4 the way through latest book, but already read the last few pages. D's death is very disconcerting, but i reckon that this was planned betwwen S & D and D is not dead, but in hiding to return in book 7. In an interview JKR mentioned a death at the end in book 7 being one of the main characters, surely if D was dead she would have mentioned that too. I think D will return and die again in book 7.

DumbledoresGirl · 26/02/2006 15:04

I don't think Harry is going back to Hogwarts. I have very slim evidence for this (apart from him saying he wouldn't) and that is I know from reading an interview with JKR that she described her last Quidditch match in Bk 6 (apparently, she found it very hard to bring anything new to the Quidditch descriptions so had the brainwave of making Luna commentate on the last match in that book - well it certainly brought a new dimension to the Quidditch chapters!) So if there are no more Quidditch descriptions for her to do, that would suggest Harry is not going to be at Hogwarts.

As for Dumbledore and his role in helping Harry defeat Voldemort, it is inconceivable in my mind that Harry can do it without him. He did not have a clue how Dumbledore got through the enchantments into the cave to get the locket, and he isn't about to learn all he needs to know at the beginning of Bk 7, is he?

At the same time, I don't think anyone is going to have the final showdown with Voldemort except for Harry. It has to be Harry who does most of the work and all of the final showdown, because he is the hero and is supposedly coming into manhood now. There are loads of folk tales where the hero has to lose his mentor before he can face his final challenge and I think JKR has, up until now, followed some conventional patterns with her hero so she will in this respect too.

So I reckon D is around somehow (preferably alive but if not, then his portrait will guide Harry). How about this for an idea? D faked his death with Snape in order to draw Voldemort out of hiding. Afterall, D is described as the only one V feared, so V would be mad to come out with D around. (well, he is mad, but not in that way!) So D fakes his death, draws out V, the battle between V and Harry starts, and D comes to Harry's aid at the critical time.

agree that the locket is the one in grimmauld place.
not sure whether dumbledore is really dead, but snape definitely killed him on his orders. definitely.

DumbledoresGirl · 27/02/2006 19:50

I agree with you Alexsmum.
