Really Important.........my 30th birthday

dear all,

I am in need of some inspiration for what to do for my up and coming 30th birthday. Bearing in mind I will only have given birth about 6 weeks previous and won't have much money. I was thinking of sharing it with my mum who will be 60 2 weeks after me so a joint party would be fun but we always like to do something unique if we can.

Hopefully the weather will be good so I can consider ideas that cover indoor and outdoor.

What about a BBQ or a summer picnic?

how about having a bouncy castle if its nice?we had one with a roof on (which was handy as it poored down) for dd's birthday.but it was the adults that hogged it!!

I have been thinking about a nice refined garden party or something with a band/quartet but a theme is what I need. I was thinking 1920's sort of Poirot era but not sure. That's one idea but I'd be greatful of any more.
