Possibly slightly more oval than round, I'd say. Like tiny brown tic-tacs.

Oh S**t - how the hell have they got in the house? ive found little hard brown droppings in the corner on the carpet. What do I do?

Talk to tyour councils pest control officer, they will come round with poisoned bait.

Or borrow a cat for a bit

cold weather, they sometimes come in if a pipe is in the wall eg kitchen sink drain or can squeeze through any samll gap maybe country mice coming in the cold weather
