Does your dh/dp exercise? If so, WHEN???

Dh is the typical office worker/couch potato. Sitting at desk all day and in front of TV/PC all night.
He gets up at 6.45, leaves for work at 7.30 - long commute which requires car. Gets home at 6, we eat as a family, he spends some time with dd's, then when dd's in bed he chills out - by then it's about 7.30. Sure, he could go out to do some exercise then - but who has the energy/motivation? At weekends we like to be together as a family - we do go for walks, but they're not really exercise with a two and a four year old in tow!
So when do people fit it in???
(Btw dh is very slim so he feels justified in not doing any exercise.)

dp escapes for a run once a week, usually sat morning. meanwhile ds (9mths) and i have toast and read/eat paper.

my dh cycles to work but its only a couple of miles each way. He is a bat fastard and needs to exercise. To be fair he has a big belly but his legs are slim. Ideally he would curb his carb intake too

dp cycles for 10 mile (albeit an excercise bike) a night, and plays squash every thursday. He starts on bike about 7pm. Not that he needs it cos i think he is gorge (although i am bias )

Dh runs perhaps a couple of times in the week (late evening or very early morning) and then at nap time at weekends. He also messes about with his weights and does sit-ups and stuff while I eat chocolate and watch the tv!

dh plays five-a-side once a week, his job is quite physical aswell.

Does he have a gym he could go to at lunch emkana?

I agree I can't be bothered to go out in the evenings, esp in the winter.

Dh is obsessed with exercise!!
runs or goes to gym at least 5 times a week
makes me feel guilty for not doing the same.

My dh plays football Thursday evenings, rugby every Saturday and in the summer plays cricket twice a week. He also plays football with the children at our local park and takes the children cycling.

My dh just has his brisk walk to and from the tube station every workday. He says he wants to do more, and we're looking for stuff to do as a family that will exercise all of us - it helps that ds and dd are a reasonable age (7 &11). He can't do swimming, though - has a weird sensitivity to pool chemicals. He has never been in a gym and so can't understand the attraction.
