How the hell am I supposed to transform dd into a sunflower???

For the féte a week on Friday. A neighbour has given me a green costume, but what do I do for the flower? I haven't got a bleeding clue about these things! I'm tempted to send her as a blade of grass. So if you want to save dd being a blade of grass, please tell me how to do a sunflower head!

Cut out a mask for her - a big yellow circle around her face, and then add pig cut out petals all around it.

I thought about that, but wouldn't that just make half a sunflower head? How would I do the petals underneath?

I really do think that blades of grass are underestimated!

tbh an alice band with petals on and a green costume would be totally acceptable at our school or fete
