I've been here since 2000 when I was pg wth dd - have never managed to make it into a clique and no-one ever remembers me in a list ! Kind of wonder why I bother really !

JanH · 19/02/2006 19:29

sobernow, most of your list are the names I think of from when I started. But www started after me, apparently.

(mo2 was motherofone though)

lou33 · 19/02/2006 19:29

I've been here since the latter half of 2000

Enid · 19/02/2006 19:29

sobernow I remember meeting you in that park in bath and being so incredulous that you were so relaxed with TWO dds so close in age

now I am having a third, think I would have passed out if i had known that then

charliecat · 19/02/2006 19:31

dinny · 19/02/2006 19:32

dejags · 19/02/2006 19:33

suzywong

& me (obviously . I have been on here since Jul/Aug 2001 (so nearly five years).

Enid · 19/02/2006 19:34

pamina

dinny · 19/02/2006 19:36

where has Mummylonglegs gone..she's been here a while?

JanH · 19/02/2006 19:36

Ohhhh, pamina - Enid, I was about to post that you would probably find db3 such a doddle you would hardly notice any change...but I haven't seen pamina since her birth announcement, I don't think!

Is anybody in touch? How are they all? Did DD2 make a 100% recovery?

Enid · 19/02/2006 19:38

lol thats why I have been thinking about her

iota · 19/02/2006 19:39

oi what about me?

I've been here longer than cod

JoolsToo · 19/02/2006 19:40

I'm just old

dinny · 19/02/2006 19:40

Jan and Enid, think Lockets sees Pamina a bit (is it Pamina3 you mean?).

JanH · 19/02/2006 19:40

Who remembers this??? (From a WOOH thread in January 2002, by a brilliant but uncelebrated MN poet )

Watching sproglets on her webcam
Is unnatural Mum Pamina.
She's abandoned them to baby jail
Just like evil witch Marina.

Such miscreants, such vile scum
To thus neglect their role as Mum
And waste their time with workplace natters.
On the net they chat to Batters-
Another baby hating stinker
Who won't stay home. And then there's Tinker-
(Don't get me started on her badness
For that could truly lead to madness.)

And on the net they also see
Mums who are more truly bonded
Enid, Callie and Liza V
Proper mums who've not absconded.
Better people through and through
Fond of games and snot and poo
And talking slow and high and sweet
And kissing baby hands and feet.

But wait a second, what is this?
A child abandoned in mid kiss?
The perfect Mummy disappears
To post on Mumsnet all her fears.
The child whimpers, whines and pouts
Mummy tuts and types and shouts:
"You're really getting on my tits!"
And suddenly the benefits
Of child care are quite quite clear.
Perhaps there is a nursery near?

JanH · 19/02/2006 19:41

Yes, pamina3, thanks dinny

Oi! lockets! How are they doing?

that poem was brilliant (was it scummy or sobernow)

I hated that thread though as got tarred with SAHM brush for evermore

think I posted too hastily

went a got a job almost immediatley after

JanH · 19/02/2006 19:46

It was scummy, enid!

I think she must have the old portrait in the attic you know, because she looks as if she's barely left school and yet what she says is so clever and wise.

sis · 19/02/2006 19:47

yes, I remember jbr and would like to know how she is getting on - maybe she lurks occasionally

JanH · 19/02/2006 19:48

Do you think she could though, sis? She was such a gloves-off kind of gal!
