i will sleep well tonight beginning to feel like billy no mates again. its hard being new on here as you obviously all know eachother and its like im intruding on private chat you are all quite scarey sometimes

doormat · 19/02/2006 19:36

dont be scared mcmum
mn is about all differing opinions whether you agree or not
that is the beauty of it
just dont take anything personally

doormat · 19/02/2006 19:37

MaggieT · 19/02/2006 19:50

I think that this is a very narrow minded sentiment, on a forum which is as public as you can get. If you don't like certain threads, don't click on them. Be honest, but not rude. Have respect for all, not just those you consider 'old timers'.

RedRidingHood · 19/02/2006 19:52

I'm newish too and feel left out sometimes especially as I usually kill everything I post on - but tough I don't care will keep annoying everyone til someone speaks to me!

RedRidingHood · 19/02/2006 19:52

see dead as a bleedin Dodo

doormat · 19/02/2006 19:53

rrhood ok you have annoyed me now
hellooooo

RedRidingHood · 19/02/2006 19:56

Thought I'd try and get a response somehow! Thanks Doormat - was about to give up and go home

Kidstrack2 · 19/02/2006 19:57

thats the thing i trust most people but then again i do see through some postings, but that one this morning made me feel quite on edge because i couldn't do anything about it, then i felt a bit angry afterwards, some of dd's clothes that i sell for postage i just send them straight away and then wait for the payment because i trust them, and i'd hope that some people on here would trust me etc

mcmum · 19/02/2006 19:57

rrhood hello and i think im goin for bolognese coz its been in slow cooker and smells fab ttfn be back soon if thats ok

tough shit if not im coming to spoil your chat anyway hee hee

Kidstrack2 · 19/02/2006 19:58

redridinghood wouldn't worry about that i kill most threads, mainly because i post when the thread is dying off anyway

RedRidingHood · 19/02/2006 20:00

Read the thread about the necklace saga - must admit I probably would have sent stuff out on trust especially if it was someone I had seen around for a while - been lurking on MN since about Nov 2003 under a boring name of Lea2003 but seemed a bit boring - so when I got a red hat for Christmas...decided to change my name.

RedRidingHood · 19/02/2006 20:01

Yes probably my bad timing too - also I only just got Broadband so never stayed on for long before.

Kidstrack2 · 19/02/2006 20:06

me too rrh thats us just connected the other week, we just had a dial up connection that took an hour to post a message, so i have been on here quite a bit because its so much faster

brimfull · 19/02/2006 20:11

never change my name, although I used to be polly28.I changed it cos it was too close to real life.

I've been mumsnetting for about 3 yrs but don't think anybody would say I'm an oldie as not really in a clique.

Have killed more threads than hot dinners me!

RedRidingHood · 19/02/2006 20:15

Will have to start a thread killers clique

brimfull · 19/02/2006 20:17

i'll be the first member.please don't post after this

Callmemadam · 19/02/2006 20:19

I have been around since 2001, and only changed my name once, when I finally thought of something original! I seem to kill threads really well, too. My only whinge is that I find a lot of the threads very cliquey - probably my paranoid self speaking - and so i dont 'interrupt'. Bit sad really. How can one feel a playground outsider of 11 all over again when it's a virtual one for grownups? Come on, give me ideas for self improvement

lavenderfraggle · 19/02/2006 20:25

i'm a newie as well, am i allowed to play???
