Blue Jeans by ????

You know,

When I wake up in the morning light,
I pull on my jeans and I feel alright

I pull my ol jeans on
I pull my ole blue jeans on

Was is Leo Sayer?

sparklymieow · 18/02/2006 22:32

Kylie- I should be so lucky...

Ailsa · 18/02/2006 22:35

Too Shy - Kajagoogoo

Ailsa · 18/02/2006 22:35

And I've still got it.

Tommy · 18/02/2006 22:46

blue jeans wasn't Leo Sayer - IIRC it was a one hit wonder by Dave someone?

Showing my age.... first record I bought was "C'mon baby lay your love on me" by Racey

Tommy · 18/02/2006 22:51

how about David Dundas? Seems to ring a bell?

SorenLorensen · 18/02/2006 22:54

Oh the shame

It was Starship "We Built This City (On Rock n' Roll)"

I just googled it to see what year it came out (1985) and apparently Blender Magazine (No.2 men's magazine in the USA - no, not that kind of men's magazine) voted it the "No. 1 worst single ever constructed." I'd go along with that, actually.

First album (LP, remember vinyl ?) was The Bangles, Different Light.

In my defence, I did get into The Smiths and The Cure not long afterwards...I didn't stay in 80s soft rock hell.

Single - Hippy Hippy Shake by the Swinging Blue Jeans (in my defence it was 1963 and I was 12 )

EP - The Rolling Stones - You Better Move On/Poison Ivy/Bye Bye Johnny/Money (1964)

LP - Beatles for Sale, also 64.

God I am old.

georginars · 19/02/2006 03:38

singles - Bright Eyes and Captain Beaky and His Band

LP - no idea. think it might have been a Pet Shope Boys one though

soontobeacoot · 19/02/2006 03:55

BAy City Rollers album with pictures of all of them in... Thought Les McKeown was gorgeous... but was only 6. Shame he has turned out so dodgy!

JayzMummy · 19/02/2006 05:56

First single...Gordon is a Moron by Jilted John, August 1978.

Ive been going out with a girl
her name is Julie
but last night she said to me
whilst we were watching tele
Listen Gordon
I love you but
theres this bloke I fancy
I dont want to two time you
so its the end of you and me

OMG that was all from memory!
I listened to that song over and over again and spent hours perfecting my pogo dance style!!!

First album's age 12 The Specials and Desmond Deker and the Isralites.....obviously got over my Punk stage very quickly and found my love of SKA

jac34 · 19/02/2006 08:43

Blame it on the boogey by the Jacksons.

Blandmum · 19/02/2006 08:47

The Jenes On song was by David Dundas, who was IIRC a Lord. It was originaly the Brutus Jeans advert 'I put my Brutus Jenes on'

REmemebr brutus jenes? Are they still made?

God I feel old?

munz - that Kylie album was the second I bought. She had a black topless hat on from which her hair bubbled out like a birds nest.
My first album was Now That's What I Call Music No.8.

deenewyearward · 19/02/2006 11:10

I remember Brutus jeans, not old just mature!!!!

Blandmum · 19/02/2006 11:13

I remember, 'Now that's what I call Music'.

Under Pressure
Queen and David Bowie
still one of my all time faves ( anyone seen DB do the live version of this with fabulous bass player Gayle Ann Dorsey doing Freddy's part - wonderful)

cupcakes · 19/02/2006 12:42

MB - did it have a pig in sunglasses on the front?

Blandmum · 19/02/2006 12:43

Which one? [puzzled emoticon?]
