OMG - I'VE HAD A TATTOO!!

for a few years now i've wanted to have a tattoo on my arse!! Finally, yesterday, at age 39, I actually had it done and I love it! DH was rather surprised about it, but also finds it very attractive. Just wanted to share that one with you all, coz I probably won't be telling a lot of my RL friends! Def a mid life crisis I reckon.

The guy who did mine said that they only go a greeny sludgy colour if they're exposed to the sun too much. He suggested covering up or wearing a stronger spf on the spot. His were pretty pristine - and he wasn't in his first flush of youth.

Can you tattoo the labia?? Would anyone do it??? Ditto the ear.

Besides - you don't know how big her design is - you might need to have a labia that flaps in the wind to display it

i was referring to the ear being on display, i tend to keep the other bits covered...most of the time. It's not a big tattoo, but labia or nipple - nnnnooooo!!

I used to catch the bus home from work everyday, before dds were born. A guy who worked in the same place as me used to catch the same one and we used to make small talk. One day I asked him his name. He proceeded to turn his bottom lip over and show me his christian name tattooed inside his mouth. Yeuuuck I thought but each to their own until he went on to say to me "don't ask me what my surname is!" [shock}

i have a bat on my boob and i love it! had it for almost 9 years now, never regretted it (not so far anyway). i chose that place cos when im old and saggy it will be covered up anyway. and no, it isnt the mn bat, it is a pipistrelle with a night sky behind it. very pretty picture, not cartoony. i want a fairy on my left arm but am worried about getting someone rubbish, this was done by a guy who has thousands of awards but i wouldnt know where to find him now unfortunately.

I had one done on my arm but that was fifteen years ago. Now my arm is considerably less slender so I'm thinking of giving mine a re-working for my 40th year.

I may be asking your advice on where to go.

I would really recommend the guy i went to in Brighton Spidey, he was excellent and not at all scary!!!

Expect I could be persuaded to get it out after a couple of cocktails on 11 March Custy m'dear.

I have 3 and will be getting another soon, agree about the sunscreen though. Its better to ose complete sunblock on tatoos if poss.

But if you get it around the edge you get a lovely two tone look

I have 3 tattoos, well done, I think they are a very personal thing and everyone is entitled to have them or not...

Oh well done mabs! You do realise now you will get hooked and want more. I had my third one done a few weeks ago, and am holding myself back from number 4 now!
