Will I be able to park close to the Science Museum on Sunday?

We're going to the Science Museum on Sunday and have decided to drive part or all of the way. Debating whether to park up at Osterley and get the tube or try and park in Kensington. Anyone know what my chances are?

yes, easy to park round there on a Sunday (esp if you get there as it opens)

can't remember the name of the road but if you are driving past with science museum on your left and the park at the top, if you go to the top of that road and turn left, there's always loads of space on the yellow line on that big main road (opposite Hyde Park).

Agree. We go there often. As foxinsocks says, you can park very near to the museum so long as it's early. We tend to park up early in time for opening. Doubtful that there would be parking spaces later in the day. Check that you haven't parked in a resident parking space. Also check that there are no big events on at the Royal Albert Hall.

Just as an aside... went there on weds and was hugely disppointed. It was absolutely heaving and those exhibits that were working were so crowded that you couldn't get to them. The museum itself suffers from a lack of information, and signs. We went for a trip on the simulators at 5.15 (museum closes at 6) only to be told they were closed. No mention of this to be found anywhere. Challenged a member of staff who said "well I'm telling you now it's closed". Nice. Then another member of staff mentioned that there is reference to this on the website. Handy, if you've got your PC in your bag. I felt it was very disappointing all round; unlike the Nat History museum which is fab. Won't be going back there in a hurry.

We went. We got there about 10:30 and ended up parking in the IMperial College museum car park which was £11. Still loads cheaper than train from Farnham.

Not sure it was worth the £55 we paid for the Alien exhibition and the IMAX cinema but kids enjoyed it.
