HELP! Am stuck in the house with DD1 4.5 who is still infectious with chicken pox and DD2 who is 1 and now getting over it.

I need some ideas on how to entertain them as I'm running out of ideas.

We're going out to feed teh ducks this morning so we all get some fresh air but need something exciting to do to fill the rest of the day.

I can't go to the shops to buy arty stuff (we don't have much) as I've got no-one to leave them with.

ANY IDEAS APPRECIATED

Can anyone make a suggestion and / or point me at an existing thread? I couldn't find one when I looked earlier.

Hi NottsMum - we're in the same position (ds, 6, with chicken pox, dd, 1 - nearly 2 - getting over it).

Someone posted a link to this website yesterday.

So far today we have been playing duplo and watching some of the Winter Olympics.

Thanks HD. So far, DD2 is lying on her bed as she's tired and DD2 has been emptying my washing baskets laughing her head off!

Am not sure we'll make it to the duck pond now! Oh yes I forgot about the olympics, I was thinking of renting a film for this afternoon which I find the hardest.

But I'll go and look at the web site too.

We're also going onto the Cbeebies make and do section which should entertain us all for a while.

At least the end is in sight. I've hardly been out of the house in a week!

Whereabouts in Notts are you NottsMum? (I'm from there originally).

First chance to get back to this thread would you believe! I'm from West Bridgford. Where did you used to live?

Oo-er. I was born and brought up in WB. Spooky!

Hope your day was ok in the end. DD fell asleep on my lap this afternoon so ds and I watched Danny the Champion of the World. He seems to have turned a corner with the pox now - his spots are looking much better.
