How do I go about getting one and how much will it cost. Do just pay a fee to get someone to design it for me, or do I laso have to pay every month?

Don't know anything about it, forgive my ignorance

My dh designs them isobelsmum, he also runs a hosting service. If you CAT me then you could speak to him via email and he will run you through the whole thing. He is good at explaining it to those without any knowledge of websites etc too! No job too big or small

Whats the ebsite for? There are a few online ones that let you do your own for free.

You will also almost certainly find that the firm that provides your internet connection gives you a free and basic web site.
Also be aware that most MS products will produce web pages if you ask them. Some try to do it even if you don't.

We used www.1and1.com
They're very cheap, and they provide a free tool for quickly knocking up a web site.
www.buckhursthillbillies.co.uk
Is our advert for a nanny. Took 20 mins to pour in the text and photo.
Their software is a bit inflexible, but the lack of options means it's harder to go terribly wrong.

This is fine if you just want a "brochure" type site, or just a "hello". Once we get a nanny will be turned over to the kids as a sort of scrapbook.

The site won't do Ecommerce or cool games, and ther'sa limit on the amount of traffic which is fine for personal use, but not really for a proper business.
