On uswitch.com and it is coming up with Atlantic as best offer for switching gas and electric with Powergen and Scottish Power close behind.

Any good/bad reports about them before I proceed?

We're with them for our gas and electric - have been for 2 years. They're part of Scottish and Southern Energy plc now. We've had no problems - have just received the loyalty bonus paid into our account because we've been with them the last year.

The only thing that struck me about them was the direct debit they initially suggested was soon increased when they did their quarterly review so the cynic in me thinks they deliberately estimate low IYSWIM. I shouldn't think they're the only ones though.

I keep thinking we should shop around again.

Thanks for that.

Any thing must be cheaper than British GAs though

I had loads of problems with them after getting details from USwitch a couple of years ago. Paperwork came through for us to review/sign and it turned out that it wouldn't be cheaper at all so we notified them that we didn't want to switch.

3 months later got a massive bill from them - they had taken over both our gas & electricity without our permission. Took me 18 months to sort out. Did end up with £150 compensation though after threatening them with bad press.
