Anyone used one? I'm turning 35 next week, and my face could use a little pepping up.

Oil of Olay Regenerist has one out in the US, but before I buy it, was wondering if anyone has used a kit that's available here and what you thought of it.

The L'Oreal ReFinish is great and seems to last forever.
I even gave dh a going over!

er, whats the deal? do they take a layer of skin off? coz that sounds a bit scary...

Gingerbear · 13/02/2006 16:24

teak oil and fine sandpaper?
Cheap and gives aged oak a lovely smooth finish

expatinscotland · 13/02/2006 16:24

I'm going to buy myself one as a bday pressie!

I'd like one I can use on my neck as well.

Another vote for L'Oreal ReFinish, great results!

NappiesGalore · 15/02/2006 20:21

no seriously, can anyone tell me what they do? im interested. i might want to get one, but wont bother if they are either a fraud (like creams with made up names of things in them) or a bit scary (like paint stripper )

NappiesGalore · 16/02/2006 11:45

am i invisible?

NappiesGalore · 16/02/2006 13:28

ok, has the internet got smellavision or something? thats it, isnt it? i smell, and you can all tell and thats why no-one wants to be my friend.

moondog · 16/02/2006 14:49

NG,don't be paranoid.
God,have been left hanging in cyberspace loads of times meself kiddo!
You know how these girls can talk, they just lose track of where they are or were.

There are two tubes. One has a sort of gritty cream in that you massage allover your face,to remove the top layer.(It is scratchy, but doesn't hurt.) Then after washing off,you apply contents of the second tube, which is a moisturiser.
That's all there is to it!

JackieNo · 16/02/2006 14:51

Just a posh sort of facial scrub, isn't it, really? But hopefully more efficient, because the grains/granules are smaller.

moondog · 16/02/2006 14:53

They are good.
I don't say that lightly being No1 MN cynic.

yoyo · 16/02/2006 15:02

You've just sent me scurrying off to my bathroom cabinet! I bought the Re-finish for DH when I grew sick of him complaining about ingrowing bristles (today's men eh?). It was stuffed away so will now give it a go myself. Did you patch test first - I have quite sensitive skin so will probably be a good idea for me. Five years younger or better than that?!

mousiemousie · 16/02/2006 15:18

another vote for loreal

NappiesGalore · 16/02/2006 15:40

hooray! theres someone out there!

sounds good, moondog. if u are a cynic and u say so, thats good enough for me! now, where can i order one on t'internet...?

Milliways · 16/02/2006 15:46

Superdrug have special offers on all L'Oreal anti-ageing stuff at the moment. £5 off lots of items (I have just stocked up but not tried the microdermabrasion stuff)

LouBeeLou · 16/02/2006 17:26

Another vote here for L'Oreal (I have sensitive skin and have no probs using this).
