Not sure if this is a nice idea or not?

But the person on here who seems to have been swizzled out of a much loved item similar to which she linked to last night. Now I know it won't be the same sentimental item, but would it be a nice gesture to club together to buy a new one off of Ebay for her? Kind of might retore her faith in MN. I know its only £20 + P and P but I can't stretch that far right now . What do you think?

That sounds really nice - I don't have much, but I'd happily put £2 towards it, if we all clubbed together it wouldn't take much.

I was thinking a similar thing, but I'm not sure it would solve anything. It certainly wouldn't get you-know-who of the hook, any yes, fs would have a new replacement necklace but it wouldn't have the same sentimental value as the one she actually wore to her wedding, IYSWIM.

IMO, the support shown to her on this thread should be going a long way to restoring her faith in MNers as a community. At the end of the day, SC needs to step up and give fs her property back, end of.

I completely know what you ar saying NdP, and thought the same myself. But still felt it would be a nice gesture. Like I said in OP.

Absolutely, it is a lovely thought, but perhaps not entirely appropriate in this case.
