The creche at our local David lloyd Centre has recently been taken over by Asquith Nurseries.

They have just announced that the fees will be going up from £3.25 per child per hour to £4.50.

Is this about right do you think? Have we been underpaying for a while or are Asquith over charging?

Any thoughts?

My ds is at an Asquith Nursery and they charge approx £30 a day. I think you've been lucky so far!! Having said that a local playgroup for 3 hours is only £4.50 but I guess it depends on age

this is just for hourly slots for while members use the gym etc. Do you know what your hourly rate is although i guess if its not linked to a club it wont necessarily have one.

I used to pay 7 quid for two hours but it went up before xmas. Possibly 8 quid for 2 hours now plus the 7 quid a month membership for the baby!

wow! at least our little ones dont need to be members. Mind you, the membership I pay is enough!
