Hello

Quod V exciting about buying a flat. V V V exciting! have you chosen or offered on any or are you still comparing the market?
Sorry to hear OH is super busy... does that mean after mid Nov he is home for Xmas? and beyond? so time to TTC Wink

LAHG pleased to hear you get some rest. I think every minute is well deserved, and at least with only 2 of these fridays left there is light at the end of the tunnel (still think you are amazing though!)
Sorry to hear E has a cough, hope she gets better soon. hate coughs, esp when they get worse at night, very annoying.

Not sure how i feel.... still no sign of AF.... will be 5 days late tomorrow, no signs of AF, but also no signs of PG either. Will POAS tomorrow i think, though not sure if i want to know as i wont see OH until Friday, I could live in blissful ignorance until then!

Am down south at the moment and have seen 10 care homes today. None were really bad though Smile and I think i will take my sister to view 3 of them... unless the ones i see tomorrow are completely amazing. 1 today certainly stands out, i feel / hope it could be "the one"

Off to bed now as im tired (A was a monkey last night). I realise how much i miss OH, because if i am up at night he always gets her up in the morning so i get a preciouse 15 / 20min extra cat nap, which clearly i cant have when its just me.

bebejones · 25/10/2012 22:49

I really honestly do keep meaning to do a proper catch up, just never seem to have a quiet moment to do it!!!

Must try harder!

Hope all you lovely WIITs are ok?

Yay for Harpie's return and baby boy bump! Smile

Xxx

Quodlibet · 28/10/2012 07:07

Well WIITS I am checking in with you here to let you all know (if you're still reading) that I got my BFP this morning. Still a day before AF is due and a faint line on an internet cheeeepy, but it is definitely a line!

I am giving all credit to Harpie who sent me some sachets of Conceive Plus. My theory is that DP's soldiers needed the equivalent to drink and a snack on the journey!

Leftwingharpie · 28/10/2012 07:32

Now that my dear Quod is the Best News Ever! And just the kick up the bum I needed to come back on the thread and say hello! So what did DP say? Is he excited? Have you told any of the rest of the family? When are you due??! Grin

Quodlibet · 28/10/2012 07:43

Haha there you are! DP is very excited and also looked a bit stunned. I had to wake him up at 6am (I am in Greece staying with my cousin, he is in Ireland on tour, sharing a hotel room) and tell him the news via Facetime while he tried to contain his excitement in the corridor of his hotel.
I have told my cousin who did a small victory dance around the kitchen with me! Due date (OMFG) according to FF is 8 July. But one step at a time! Not sure it's properly sunk in yet at all. At the moment I am just overjoyed that we can apparently conceive!

Leftwingharpie · 28/10/2012 08:01

Wow how exciting! Love the fact that he has to celebrate discreetly in the corridor, while you do a victory dance around the kitchen with your cousin! Is it just a relaxing family visit? Can you just sit back and enjoy it?

Quodlibet · 28/10/2012 08:06

Yep I'm just here visiting while he's away anyway. Got some writing to do but I can take it pretty easy. I'm not going to see DP until the early hours of Thursday morning, and then he's only home for a day before going to Japan for the weekend, so we will have to pack a lot of celebrating into 24 hrs...

What now? How do I keep sane during the next 7 odd weeks of waiting??

Leftwingharpie · 28/10/2012 08:12

I don't know, but it's not easy! As soon as I got to 13 weeks time started to run normally again, but up till then was like being in limbo. Being bone crushingly tired and generally feeling meh wasn't much fun either... But on the positive side .... You're having a lovely snuggly little baby and by July we're all going to be mummies!!

nannyl · 28/10/2012 08:39

wahoooooooo

congratualtions quod.

what amazing news

whispers as this is top secret so please so mention on FB..., Quod you can be my bump buddy! but i got a BFP too Shock am 6 weeks today (going by only possible time it could have happened) but 6+3 by Drs.

all booked in with midiwfe and waiting for scan, due 23rd June (regardless of what they tell me)

I am incredibaly tired, but have not vomitted yet..... and until 2 days ago felt fine.

apparently HG (the supersickness i had last time) you are always vomitting by 6 weeks, so if thats true, and i avoid being sick today (no idea if i will but am trying) I shouldnt techincally have HG again either, but i guess time will tell.

3 days ago i still felt 100% fine / normal

Leftwingharpie · 28/10/2012 09:40

Oh my goodness!

That's awesome news! Congratulations -I was wondering if there was any update to your last post but didn't like to ask! Fingers crossed you are not sick this time nannyl. What will the age gap be?

nannyl · 28/10/2012 09:44

21 months Shock

what am i letting myself in for hey?

though i guess i cant complain, LAHG can lead the way, and i can follow what she does?

feeling better already.... its as if i have more normal "morning sickness" this time. I would LOVE just "normal" sickness!!!!!!!

LookAtHerGo · 28/10/2012 11:28

Woo fucking hoo GrinGrinGrinGrinGrin

That's all I have time for at the moment. But I am so chuffed for our two BFPs GrinGrinGrinGrinGrin

Leftwingharpie · 28/10/2012 11:56

Hi LAHG - great news isn't it! Hope your getting on ok with your pg xx

Leftwingharpie · 28/10/2012 11:57

Nannyl if you're not suffering ms, maybe it's a boy?!

Quodlibet · 28/10/2012 13:04

Nannyl that is fantastic news, congratulations to you! Glad to hear you're not suffering either. And hurrah to bump buddies.

FINALLY I feel like I have a justifiable reason to be on MN!

nannyl · 28/10/2012 13:25

I am certain its a boy

I was certain from about a minute after..... told matt i bet we have just made a boy!!!!!

Quod I have been here sine 2005!!!!! 6 years before i became a mummy! (and read but didnt post for ages before that, 2003 i think, i started lurking)

so quod, are you 3+6? or further than that?

Quodlibet · 28/10/2012 13:30

Yep 3+6 Nannyl, spot on. Have worked out that 12 weeks will fall the week before xmas so ideally (and yes I know maybe not, in the real world) we'll be in the clear to tell people by then. It still feels terrifically early days here - I've realised I've always imagined up to the BFP but not beyond that!!

nannyl · 28/10/2012 13:34

good luck

i am really really hoping to avoid telling everyone until Xmas too (i reckon my scan will be about 7 dec ish)

but that could mean going down south in maternity jeans (like last time, i was in mat clothes from 12 weeks) and i dont want them to be able to guess i am pg (by the fact im in maternity clothes) before i tell them.

just hoping as all pg are different (and this one is completely different so far from the last) i might still be able to squish into fat clothes except im actually wearing most of my fat clothes as never made it back slim enough into my thin clothes!

bebejones · 28/10/2012 15:32

WOWSERS!! I don't check the thread all day then 2 BFPs come along at once!!

Massive congrats to Quod & Nannyl! :)

Nannyl - don't want to be the one to say this, but everyone I know who has had 2nd (or 3rd) babies have been showing earlier than they did with their first! Confused Sorry to be the bearer of bad news!! Wink

Quod - DP must be thrilled, how on earth did he manage to celebrate quietly?!!

I have no real news...keep meaning to catch up, but have nothing to say! Hmm DD is loving school, and can't wait to go back (we have been on half term here). She's starting to read & build words which is really cool! :o Last week she counted to 100 on her own which was fab & made me feel very proud! :)

Am now officially the only WIIT not to be diffed whilst actually being an offical WIIT! Best starting hounding DH again....next year maybe??? Hmm Who knows?!! Am going to be 30 in a week and a bit....starting to freak out a little!!

Leftwingharpie · 28/10/2012 20:07

Hi Bebe! I forgot our birthdays fell together. How are you celebrating your milestone?

LookAtHerGo · 28/10/2012 20:32

Well well well, some great shagging has been had by some folks on here then! Wink

So, if I'm truthful I kind of half expected a BFP announcement from nannyl, just given the possible ovulation and having only had one period, re the sickness, that's great that you haven't puked yet. I remember early days with this pg and wondering if I would be like I was, certainly not, my puke count I think is 20 for the whole pregnancy so far, and it all stopped by 16 weeks, and I had quite a few days where I didn't feel pregnant at all aside from some tiredness. So I really hope you are lucky and miss the HG this time like I have.

Quod - amazing news, that's brilliant stuff :) How do you keep sane in the waiting - erm well I had numerous days with the first pg where I was very tearful and wanting to book a private scan - even though I was puking for england! It's a long old wait.

I like the fact that nannyl is waiting for me to lead the way?. in that case you are also having twin boys! [hwink]

Aw bebe, your 30th next week :) I hope you have a good day, what have you got planned? Glad DD is loving school and yay to the counting :)

Harpie, how are you doing?

Well I had another scan the other day, babies both growing very well, as they should at this point. Reached the 24 week mark earlier in the week :) Now for 27 weeks, then 30 weeks and so on. It's a tiny bit more 'stressful' carrying twins as you know you are at higher risk of prem birth or things going wrong, but I have the lowest risk in terms of carrying twins (separate sacs and placentas) so I am hoping everything stays good as it is.

E is changing so quickly, she says hey-oh for hello now and waves at the same time, and will say hey-oh dada, even knows daddy is home from work now, looks round when the door goes and says dada. :) She comes up to me with a book and says 'pear' in a really cute voice - one of the books I read is Each peach pear plum and I think she has cottoned on to pear and it means she wants to be read to. :)

I am flipping massive. I am practically full term size, and doesn't EVERYONE like to tell me this! LOL 'oh you look like you are about to pop' Yes thanks, well I'm only 24 weeks yet, so about 13 to go (induction between 37 and 38 weeks) And I'm flipping knackered, but it will so be worth it at the end of the day. And I've finished work now :) Had so much leave left that booking it off prior to my maternity leave meant that last night was my last shift before annual leave and maternity leave! Yay.

Leftwingharpie · 29/10/2012 09:17

You know if I had my time again I probably would get a private scan, knowing how reassured I was to finally see baby in there and his little heartbeat. It's so good to feel him moving around now, even if he does keep me awake sometimes!

LAHG I have just realised I could finish a week on Friday! Good heavens!

Quodlibet · 29/10/2012 10:14

LAHG tremendous that you are off on Mat leave! Enjoy! My friend who is a twin mum was full-term size at your stage too. Her two (now 15 months) are gorgeous.

Harpie do you mean you are off on Mat leave too on Friday?? That seems to have come around so quickly.

I have realised that if this one sticks around then I will be due the week after the ENORMOUS show we are planning for next year. Oh dear. Will have to cross those bridges nearer the time I think.

I have been looking at my calendar week-by-week for the forthcoming months and really hope I don't get MS early on, as DP is away pretty much all the time until week 9!! If I take after my sister, MS will be weeks 8-12 I think (I know it's different for everybody!)

Leftwingharpie · 29/10/2012 12:58

Heavens no - just that if I started maternity leave at the earliest possible date and took all my accrued holiday and flexi before it, I could leave in less than two weeks. I plan to work until the end of January.

LookAtHerGo · 29/10/2012 19:30

I worked to 34 weeks with E and it would have been nearer 36 but I was signed off sick.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for sticky beans.
