Hi Bythesea.

We are going in October half term. How was your visit?

We are going with a 6 year old and a 9 month old. Will we enjoy it?

Hi all

trying to book a break in UK pref/ near to London for end of year/November. seen the Mumsnet recommendations and looking at calcot manor and woolley grange.

would be me and a friend, both single mothers with babies of a year and 10 mths respectively. naturally we want to have some relax time but am retiscent about leaving my babe in creche as he goes to a really good childminder full time when I work and I don't really know much about nurseries.

can anyone reassure us or recommend somewhere fantastic ?

really need a break as you can imagine

I went to the Bedruthan Steps for my first honeymoon! It was lovely. The food was divine, but very very rich! I ended up in Truro hospital with a major gallstones attack brought on by all the rich food! Was lovely tho and would go again in a heartbeat.

poor thing ! I had my gall bladder out after years of suffering in silence with what it transpired were gall stones !! bloody hell they hurt.

see Bedruthen is recommended by a lot of people, it's just that my baby's trying to walk and goes ballistic in his car seat on long journeys unless he's napping. it's tricky, I really need a break. Took him abroad to see his paternal grand parents in Italy but it was physically and mentally exhausting and I most certainly didn't get any downtime to relax. know that's part of being a single parent but honestly, it's not good for one health !
thanks

Went to bedruthan sreps in 1998 with dds(aged then 18mths and 5).Really enjoyed it and all the little touches eg.having separate meal times and places for parents and the under 7's, was really appreciated. We did have a leak in the bedroom the first night but it was handled very well and we all had a great time. They seem to have it covered regarding anything you might need.

went at the end of june and loved it - will go back next year.

if you plan on using the daycare facilities, pre-book. we tried to book on the day but it was full.

everything else went like clockwork.

try to get the young girl (hard-looking) to be your waitress - she's great and snuck us loads of extras ("can't decide between cheese and dessert? shhh i'll bring you both" )
