......where do they go? How far can they go? Is immediate retrieval always necessary?
I only ask as DD2 spent a couple of hours prodding finger up nose and becoming quite agitated in the process. Despite looking, there was nothing to be seen ao I assumed her nose was a little sore from a fall she had earlier, hence the agitation upon prodding.
Went to check her in her cot earlier and saw a bit of baby wipe poking out of a nostril, on further excavation, it turned out to be a pea sized wad of baby wipe which had gone right up into the cavity
It came out with ease, no harm done (in fact, she didn't even wake up!).
But if it hadn't...... where would it have gone?
I know they generally come out again though. My niece once spent the day asking her mum for 'aisins' (or so my sister thought) and my sister spent the day explaining that sorry, she didn't have any left.
Niece was extremely persistent. A gargantuan sneeze nearing bedtime, culminating in a raisin catapulting from her nose, gave some explanation as to my niece's word of the day.
Oh, and why do they do it?!?!
