enabling Java

Hi

does anyone know how to enable java on their web browser - the site I'm trying to reach worked fine yesterday until DH destroyed our anti virus and has been fiddling today, now it wont work and is telling me that my web browser doesn't support java or it isn't enabled

have googled but still can't make it work with the instructions on there

if it's java, then the vast majority of websites will display correctly anyway (including mumsnet) and to be honest i don't think it's worth the hassle. if you really want to you can go to www.java.sun.com and download it.

I suspect though that you actualy mean javascript in which case you probably need to turn some things off in your internet security package. alternatively, try going to tools>internet options in IE and selecting security. set it to medium.
