Apparently there is one in my area run by Surestart for 6 months - 5 years. I wondered if anyone's kid had been to anything like this, and if so, what sort of age group it was most suitable for?

My church teaches them for boys -- ballet for girls. From about 2 1/2 yeaars and up I think. My girl is in the ballet, so I can't advise much about them. But someone must be taking it.

If you happen to be in Twickenham I can give you more info.

Not a Surestart one (sadly) but my DS1's been doing Little Kickers for a month and I think it's great. He's 2 +5 months. The parents sit and watch (unless child needs company/restraining in which case you're expected to help!) so they need to be able to understand what the "coaches" are telling them and follow the instructions, so I think anything younger wouldn't have been a go-er. But presumably your classes are a bit different as they start so young. I'd definitely give it a go if I were you. I reckon anything that gets kids running around must be a good thing, and it's got to be better than lurking in a chilly park in this weather!
