i dont understand why she has only been giving a 6 month contract? but at least it means you're only shelling out £20 for now.

ooohhhhhhh i want to take lani swimming, she would love it, im just not brave enough to put a swimming costume on yet!

lanismum · 10/02/2006 23:30

jenny said it was to see if they could get her work, she said they didnt want to take her on for 12 months, as they wasnt sure they could get her work?

cyan · 10/02/2006 23:31

i was pleased with how it all ran last week, and i think the mums were much more down to earth than when we were with norrie carr, they just werent like me at all. they looked more glamorous than the kids. TBH i just thought that i didnt get gd vibes off them last week, so was a bit surprised when they said yes. Maybe cos we were in the last few and they had seen 30+ babies tha day! id like to know how many they took on after last week

you should def take her!!! the younger the better!!! I took charlie from just after having his last lot of jabs and since then we have gone almost every week. i used to be a competitive swimmer when i was younger, and all i wanted was for charlie to be confident in the water. I just dunk him under, he keeps his eyes open!!!

well i think she's started to prove them wrong already! casting first week thats fab more than most!! but although i think my ds is beautiful, of course i do im his mum, i sometimes wonder whether he is what they are looking for? i would just love to know what determines a 'look'

OP posts:
lanismum · 10/02/2006 23:36

i will do, just got to force myself. i love swimming, used to go all the time, but since having lani, iv not lost all my baby weight so dont wanna put a costume on.

lanismum · 10/02/2006 23:38

our kids must have the right look, as they took them on? thats what i think, id buy stuff with our kids on the packaging

cyan · 10/02/2006 23:47

i hate the way i look but then again have always felt this way, hate my stomach now used to be flat but now flabby and gross. exercising and healthy eating goes out the window when you have a kid as you do everything around them. go swimming in the day that way you are prob less likely to bump into anyone you know and will be surrounded by old people that should make you feel better, well thats what i try and tell myself!!!
and yes we have got great looking children! i reckon im going to go up in a mo my back hurts from slouching at computer. well if you are ever bored and want to get out charlie and i are pretty much always free and happy to go anywhere xx

hi 7's your brave, bit to cold to do either of those, i am trying to motivate my self into doing some housework, have been watching a lot of the house doctor and type programs, it makes me realise how cluttered my house is but where do you start?

perfumelady · 11/02/2006 12:51

hi ali, sorry you posted as i was writing, not doing much really, how long are you working for today? i'm so glad i work from home, couldn't ever go to work for someone else again.

7777777 · 11/02/2006 12:54

alliep30 · 11/02/2006 13:01

good luck 7's!
I worked for myself for 3 yrs, so I like to come in and sit on mumset for 3hrs and get paid by someone else! I like to be able to walk out the door and not have to worry about the phone ringing or what i should be doing!!!!

perfumelady · 11/02/2006 13:05

ali what did you do when you worked for your self?
i find the only thing i miss by working at home is the social thing i really miss that, but thankfully i have now found mumsnet which helps.

alliep30 · 11/02/2006 13:08

Virgin Vie.. Did parties to start off with then ran my own team.. Had about 20 ladies who worked with me plus my own customers.. They say it's a flexible job that you fit around your family, but my mobile never stopped ringing. The money was great and the freebies even better, but I had enough! So now I am a virtual PA!
What do you do?

perfumelady · 11/02/2006 13:26

ali don't mean to sound thick what is a virtual pa?

i have a satellite installation company been running for 3 years now. we install for sky which is good because i don't have to advertise for work, sky email the jobs for the next day.

i have also just had a new and exciting website built which i have high hopes for, it is a multi site aimed at the local community, offering free classifieds, a business directory where local businesses can advertise there services and then the local can easily find a local plumber, builder etc, it also has a job centre, dating/friendship page, you can look for a house or sell one on the property page, same with motors on the motor page. there are cinema listings and times, local links and my favourite the shopping centre!! so as you can see it offers a lot to the community and in the big picture i want to offer this site out to other mums like me as a work from home business so they can run the website for there local community.

oh and in my spare time!!!!!! i sell perfume and aftershave on ebay

almost forgot run a house and look after 3 kids. bet you wish you'd never asked are you still awake ali? sorry didn't mean to bore you. you sell on ebay don't you? what do you sell?

alliep30 · 11/02/2006 13:31

alliep30 · 11/02/2006 13:32
