We got our first Christmas card in the post today! Can't bring myself to put it up yet. Anyone else received them yet?

No xmas cards here yet but I agree that November is too early. December should be about right I think.

fio2 · 20/11/2003 16:21

gosh if we got them now they would be lost, ripped or eaten by christmas

dsw · 20/11/2003 16:24

Bloomin Heck Lou - your friends are keen - maybe you could recycle it and send it back to them sometime in December?

Northerner · 20/11/2003 16:26

FAR TOO EARLY!!!

Kazziegirl · 20/11/2003 16:33

None here yet either - I usually get my first on 1st December and that's early enough.

JanHR · 20/11/2003 17:40

We have had a Christmas card from a neighbour. I thanked her for it and explainedthat I don't send mine until at least December 1st.

Chinchilla · 20/11/2003 18:28

Well sorry ladies...I sent mine by 2nd class yesterday! I made them myself, and was so damn pleased with the results that I got carried away I would be highly offended if anyone told me it was too early.

lou33 · 20/11/2003 18:54

Don't you think it is then Chinchilla? I might give it to the kids to put in their room, it was addressed to all of us.

popsycal · 20/11/2003 20:07

codswallop · 20/11/2003 20:09

Popsycal - You could send them half price from NZ if you did it in November, trouble is I think they all arrive really early because they are not too busy (which is why it's half price)

I bought a pack of blank cards & envelopes. I also got loads of silver stars, corrugated card etc and just got sticking. I'm really pleased with the results, and am tempted to make all my cards in future.

Lou33 - yes, I know it's too early, but like I said, I got a bit carried away!

I hate people who don't send cards, just says 'mean' to me. The best thing about having kids is that you get loads of them - cards, I mean. I also had loads of penfriends so that you can see post is important to me.

codswallop · 21/11/2003 22:08

yes isnt it important to put a lot of cards signed "love the wallops" on your mantlepeiece?!!.

Tinker I can afford it. Really. I hust see friend ship as more than a piece of paper..

Tinker · 21/11/2003 22:13

I don't
