DD is nearly 2 and has never had a haircut. It reaches her shoulders but is all uneven, should i take her to the hairdressers and get it cut into a one length bob or should i leave it to grow. What did you do with your DD's.

I cut it myself with my mum - still a bit uneven but much better and as she 's only 1 I decided it didn't need to be perfect!

I would get it cut.

I have already cut 1YO DD's hair, the long professor bits over the ears. I did it feathery, and it looks like it grew like that. I have those DCs that take forever to grow the front part of their hair.

I'm not going to let her get all wispy long hair just because she is a girl.

DD just had a trim but has kept it longer at the back and the shorter bits at the front. It's not long enough at the sides for a bob but am trying to encourage it to thicken .

dd had her first haircut before the age of 1 and then periodically after that (now 8yrs old). A trim will make it look much neater

Yes, because I am a professional and know what I am doing!

There are lot's of YouTube DIY videos for ideas. However, always take care NOT to point the scissors towards your fingers or your DD's skin!

we had to cut it as dd didn't like clips or hairbands. she now has a fringe.
dh is very good with the clippers, also does ds' hair. doesn't look like 'homecut' at all.

I have 2 year old with fine, curly, easily tangled hair. She hates having her hair brushed more than anything. So I've just cut it to save us all the agony of brushing longer hair. I just gathered her hair into a pony tail at the nape of her neck and cut the pony tail off in one snip before she could start her usual shrieking at having her hair touched by another. It looks pretty good, I think. Sort of a messy bob. And it is SO much less tangled and easier to brush. I guess it's a matter of personal taste and circumstances, really. If the brushing hadn't been an issue I probably would have left it a while but I like shorter hair on little girls anyway.

Well the fringe that she was born with, we never trimmed so know it's down to her chin and then the back is just past her shoulders, at the moment i mostly just clip it to the side or do two bunchy's. If we got it cut would get it cut all to shoulder-length, with the aim of it getting longer. Will it grow faster if we cut it?? Has anyone just left there child's hair till it got the desired length then cut it???
