No, no, nooooooo! Vile, hideous and just plain wrong!

Meanoldmummy · 28/01/2006 21:42

Look out...Sukki's about!

Mercy · 28/01/2006 22:04

Roisin, great explanation - thank you. I now understand!

Rhubarb · 28/01/2006 22:06

My bro once told me that if a boy had his right ear pierced then he was gay, that is how he knew George Michael was gay before it all came out!

Mercy · 28/01/2006 22:07

I always thought it was the left ear!

Rhubarb · 28/01/2006 22:09

Nope, definitely the right ear, we come from Oldham so we should know!!!!!!!!!

Meanoldmummy · 29/01/2006 11:36

I was told IRA members have an earring in their right ear so they can recognise each other. Don't jump on me though - it's just something I heard. It may well be utter rubbage.

Caligula · 29/01/2006 11:40

Wot, in the shape of sticks of dynamite?

Gingerbear · 29/01/2006 12:01

Not on young boys, when they are 15 or 16 - they are free to choose.
Earrings look good on:
men who look like this
or this
or this

NomDePlume · 29/01/2006 12:03

No earrings on young kids at all, regardless of gender.

No earrings on any male, at any age. Yuck.

I meet lots of people who don't judge people by their clothes. They're the ones who look at my bright yellow shirt with IKEA written inch high acoss my left boob, and then ask me if I work there. Obviously they aren't just incredibly annoying, they are just more tolerant to the fact I might just like wearing the uniform.

I just asked DS1 if he wanted his ear pierced, and he just gave me a very odd look and said No, but he still wants me to let him dye his hair red (er...no!)

Tortington · 30/01/2006 00:05

of course we make decisions based on how people look. theres no point in having red hair if no one gives a shit. or a tattoo if no one comments or a piercing.

i flatly refused to allow my 16 yearold son to have an eyebrow piercing becuase of stereotyping and predudice. i think that he will be more likley to be stopped by the police. i think he will be more likley to be followed by store detectives. i think people will think he is a racist neo nazi scum from an orphanage and he beats babies for fun on a sunday outside a church.

but thats the only reason. its not becuase of this airy fairy shite of harming an innocent how could you, they dont have a choice. fgs in perspective please its fckin earings for gods sake.

monkey · 30/01/2006 19:50

ginferbear, you seem to like quite effeminate men!
