i have a number of grasses and bamboos in my garden which has only been planted this year, now they are turning yellow, my friend a garden designer, assures me its normal but they really look ill - i thought i'd have winter greenery with them?
anyone any ideas?

my striped grass (garderners gaiters) goes yellow, and the blue festuca stays green and we used to have a huge clump of bamboos at home (fantastic play house) and I remember them being green all year. Don;t worry, see what happens next spring, most plants will put up with whatever gets thrown at them, and come next spring probably loads of loveley new shoots.
