stopped benefit....

checked my bank acct today and because im crap at looking at it, usually don't check for ages which is terrible i know and noticed that dwp have stopped my benefit(is), called them up and they said that it was because i hadn't notified them of my change of address. ive been living in my new place for 4 months now and contacted them as soon as i moved in, they sent me out the change of address which im sure i filled in but they said i didnt and this is why they have cancelled my payment. they said i would now have to reapply. i then asked them would i get my payments backdated to which they replied 'you should do', what i dont get is that they cancelled the payments without notifying me, no correspondence to my previous address (i have my mail redirected from there) or my current one. Has anyone else had a similar problem. Sorry to have warbled on but the woman i spoke to made me really irate as she was totally useless every question i had she replied to with a generic answer.

I int! Well I was, but too many years of mind numbingly boring jobs to fit around my kids has led to the mass defection of many a brain cell...

alliep30 · 26/01/2006 22:44

i find my dh does that when i get in bed at 4am after settling sylv down, until approx 6am so i get no sleep. then he tries to climb over me to go to the bathroom, rather than walking his lazy furry arse around the bed to the door

7777777 · 26/01/2006 22:45

coooooeeee! bummer about the benefits, id ring em up and tell em your kids need feeding and theyve gota sort it out quick.

myself and many many others have had our child tax reduced by huge amounts because of their cockups with overpayments, it really pisses me off.

gawd!im starting to get tired and tetchy now!

7777777 · 26/01/2006 22:46

im so glad i dont have a furry arse climbing over me to go to the loo! shave it off when hes asleep

cyan · 26/01/2006 22:47

personally though don't think going to uni is all it's cracked up to be. well i certain didn't anticipate that my life would have gone this way. falling pregnants not something one would plan when completing finals. but it happened and i got on with it. in fact having charlie made me work harder cos i knew i had to work my arse off for him. by the way allie jus remembered heard from KL earlier and they said they liek charlie.

cyan · 26/01/2006 22:50

cyan · 26/01/2006 22:52
