Ideas for entertaining children

Can't go out as my children are a bit poorly. I've done painting, playdough, sticking and colouring and am fast running out of ideas to entertain them. I've also watched several videos ten times over - any ideas please?

I gave my two kids a toy catalogue yesterday and told them to make a picture letter to Santa clause by cutting out things that they wanted to put on their wish list and sticking them onto a letter. This kept them occupied for a very long time - they were quite indecisive!

Ugh.... books?

How old? Making crawl ways by draping towels and bedlinen over sofas and chairs?

Making a pretend bus with dining room chairs and teddies?

I'm crap at this too, to be honest... tend to rely too heavily on Cbeebies when we're all feeling grotty

My dd1 is the main problem as she's 2 - dd2 is only 6 months so she's quite easily pleased.

Does she like toy bricks? You can have quite a few variations on those to kill some minutes - build them up as high as possible and take turns to knock it down... make little roadways and tunnels for toy cars to drive through... make little thrones for teddies and dolls...

ooo that's another idea - a teddy bear living room floor picnic...
