Where did you sit/stand?
Were you ok?
Did you have to let the venue know?

I'll be 6 months when I go to see the delightful Take That but I have this awful feeling that someones going to have something to say about it. Don't know why!

I went to see Paul Weller the night before (so at 39+1) my elective c-section. I was super huge (9lb 9oz baby) and a had a great time. But it was a very grown-up concert, all seated. I struggled to fit in the seats (Edinburgh Playhouse) so sat on the steps which no one minded. Enjoy. I didn't tell the venue, didn't even cross my mind.

I was 8 months when I went to see Paul Weller in the Forum.

It was fantastic. I stood, but lots of people gave up seats for me when I wanted to sit. It was a small venue so we were up close and personal with Mr Weller.

Loved it!!!!!!!!!!

MarsOnLife · 26/01/2006 10:56

something about Weller........... lol

gomez · 26/01/2006 10:57

Nbg · 26/01/2006 10:59

Wow Gomez!

I can imagine PW being a very different concert but having said that we're sitting in the Second Tier so we're not standing with all the screaming kids!

Went to see him in Earls Court that year.

He was just round the corner in December in Ally Pally.

So easy. Walked there, had a few, saw the concert, walked back. Fab! Fab! Fab!

I've been to see the Levellers twice, once at 3 months and once at 7,and Shed seven when about 4 months. It wasn't probably as much fun as usual, due to not being able to dance as much

I saw Eminem and 50 cent at 7.5 months. Stood for most of it then sat on the grass. Didn't let the venue know.

She kicked so much all the way through it

I went ot heaps of gigs when pregnant, most noticably Primal Scream at the Astoria when 8 months pregnant. I stood upstairs and danced like a lunatic. The security guards held people back and let me swan out regally.

serenity · 26/01/2006 16:07

I saw the Cure at the Shepards Bush Empire when I was 8 months pg. Wore tight clothes so it was very obvious, and flaunted it with no shame whatsoever in order to have a nice oasis of calm around me! I also used the excuse of pg hormones to yell at an obnoxious bloke, when I needed to to sit down on the steps of the sound booth because my back gave out near the end.

so, I stood at the edge of the mosh pit and then sat on very sticky steps, me and DS were fine and no, I didn't even think of telling the venue.

babyonboard · 26/01/2006 16:08

take that! oooh my 12 year old self would have killed for such tickets!
hallam arena will be fine, its all seated so you'll have plenty of room.
i went to the notting hill carnival at 7 months pregnant and got lots of help from lovely policeman who cleared paths through congested areas. was out dancing (as was baby) til 1am, hehe.

GDG · 26/01/2006 16:09

Saw Duran Duran at about 6 months - not a problem!

lanismum · 26/01/2006 16:39

i saw my mates band play (very loud metal) at about 5 months, no problems, i stood up, but i did stand near the door so i could go outside if i got too hot.

I went to see Stereophonics at sheffield arena when I was about 7 months pregnant. Didn't tell them at all and there was plenty of room in the seats for me. Just struggled to get past people to the middle of the rows as there wasn't much leg room to squeeze past. You are ok at Sheffield arena as long as you are not in the first few rows at the front. Occassionally they pull out the temporary seating there and they are very small. I did have to leave early as the baby didn't seem to appreciate my taste in music but that had more to do with the noise that the arena itself.

By the way - I did get stopped on my way into by one of the police men on traffic duty who said that if you tell the people on car park duty at the arena they will let you park in the disabled parking spaces at the front of the carpark so that you don't have to walk very far (we had parked at my work so had to walk anyway). Not sure if you would still have to pay the extortionate carparking fee but I expect so.

samjwhiting11 · 26/01/2006 16:45

By the way the disabled parking spaces are never full so you won't be taking up space that was needed. Usually there are loads of empty spaces. It might depend on how full the concert is as to whether they would offer this - I think at least one of the take that concerts was a sell out.

cathyspam · 27/01/2006 08:09

my dh went to Eminem and T in the Park without me when I was pregnant but I was about 8 months gone! At that stage I wouldnt have enjoyed myself anyway! (didnt stop me from being huffy about it though!)
