Fake help

MiL coming for 4 solid days to 'help' as DH is away for months with work. Hmm Reality it is NO help - more cooking, cleaning & effort for me as DS will need all meals at home instead of nursery as will MiL (doesn't cook). Oh yes and I won't get to see DS when I get home from work as MiL is a bit competitive / doesn't realise how hard she works to monopolise him. But hey - so long as it she's 'helping'. Should be grateful - am I a cow?

Anyone else get utterly fake help offered?

Can't you tell her you don't need any help?

Hard rules Annie! Suppose I should man up and shorten it though. I just thought it was easier for broader family harmony to go with it and then vent on t'internet....
