DD went cycling today and got oil on not one - but two - pairs of NEW trousers ( First time on !! )
The question is - how do I remove oil from clothes.
Do any of you know the solution ... and more to the point are there any relevant websites / books that will help me in the constant battle against stains !!

I seem to recall that a good way to remove engine oil from clothes (so presumably good for cycle oil too) is to saturate the stain with WD40, which should dissolve the grease, blot up as much as possible with a clean dry cloth, repeat if nec, then scrub with washing-up liquid or Swarfega (sorry, can't remember which!).

Got that from Oprah when dd was newborn and I seemed to spend my mornings surgically attached to the sofa!

Swarfega or the Wilcos' generic equivalent is what mechanics use to get grease off of their hands, don't see why it wouldn't work on clothes.
