Did anyone see this? Watched it for a laugh as my daughter (8.5), son (10.5) and litle 'un (4years) were having a snuggle on the single bed upstairs (cat included who was well peed off that we'd joined him). I thought that all the kids did well, even if a couple weren't brilliant singers but as the voting went on, I realised how bloody politicial it was! The adult Eurovision Contest is a joke, every country votes for who it is to "suposed to" and that's a well known and laughed at fact, but when it comes to kids, well, I couldn't believe it! ~My kids were saying things like, "well, how do you know who >>>>is going to vote for", and I had to tell them. I explained that it was all political and it didn't really matter who we voted for, they probably wouldn't WIN!! My daughter was a bit upset as she wanted the little boy who's mum had died to win (I thought that was SOOOO unfair to al the other kids) and she asked why, if she voted 1,000000000 times , why he couldn't win?! I just think it's so sad that in this day and age that even the kids competing probably were aware of all this tension/poliitics and they are all under sixteeen. Talking of which, to start up another hornets nest, has anyone seen those programmes which star little girls as beauty queens (I'm not naming countries because I think we have them here in the UK as well, but those little girls are really little (3-7 years) and look like h..k.ers! Really, they are beautiful little girls but a complete Paeds' dream....... I want my little girl to be just that, a little girl for as long as possible and I know she's growing up (she wears makeup and stuff, beads and bangles, loves TATU, but she's my little girl and still loves POWERPUFF GIRLS and FLUFFY THINGS!!) Oh well, rant over, goodnight people, sleep well!
