a DH's mate has been on the sick for 6 years now (yes, 6 years) paid leave for a minor back injury at work. he has had no intention of returning to work even to do light duties, he told me he's better off not working.
well to cut a long story short, his missus has left him, he has 3 kids (she took the kids) and has now decided to get a job. he works for woolworth stacking shelves full time, but this is the bit that gets me. he got paid from the jobcentre £200 for getting a job and to buy new clothes AND, he gets £40 a week for 1 year for getting a job and getting off incapacity benefit. WTF is going on. i know labour government seems to support lazy good for nothings but....
