They're a different region. Will work if you've got a universal or multi-region dvd player

Somanykiddies · 19/01/2006 18:20

Oh, any idea how I would know or find out if my player is?

No. Sorry. Have you got the instruction booklet?

Somanykiddies · 19/01/2006 18:45

i think as long as it is multi regional - we have the opposite our UK dvds play on our aussie dvd player no worries.

DumbledoresGirl · 19/01/2006 21:23

Yes they do. You need to reprogramme them though or reprogramme the DVD player, I am not sure which. Anyway, we have got Australian DVDs to work on our machine which previously didn't.

DumbledoresGirl · 19/01/2006 21:27

Dh says you have to switch your DVD player to make it multi-regional. How you do that depends on your DVD player but he says there is a website which can tell you how to do it, so perhaps try googling that?

Thanks for all your help. Have bid and will know in an hour if have won and will resort to buying multi region player if it doesn't work as it's a birthday pressie for dp, who will absolutely love it!
