I currently live in a 3 bedroom flat which adequately houses myself and my 3 DC. Myself and my partner have spoke about looking for a 3 or 4 bedroom property nearer to where he is as it is a better area and the local nursery is known to be good for children with extra learning needs which my DS will need when he starts nursery.
We have looked at private rental but cannot afford this and I am on the council waiting list and actively bidding on properties but realise could be doing so for years before successful at getting a property.
My partner currently has a council tendency for a 2 bedroom property and has suggested that myself and my 3 DC could move in so DS can go to the nursery there. This would mean that we would willing be putting ourselves into an overcrowding situation though which I'm not sure how the council would react to.
Can anybody shed any light on how this would be taken by council and any adverse effects on possible future applications to housing list?
