We bought dd a ball pit when she was one and she loved it, the only down side is i spend all day picking balls up from all over the house. definately a good buy and hours of fun.

starlover · 15/01/2006 20:51

hehe yeah.... where did you get it from?

How about getting a paddling pool and buying the balls seperately. There you have it 2-in-1. . If you buy a deep one they won't be able to escape either.

ja9 · 15/01/2006 20:54

what about one of those little trampolines?

Marne · 15/01/2006 20:56

We bought a paddling pool and bought the balls from ELC, then i found out that tesco's sell the balls for half the price of the ELC ones and they are just as good.

Hazellnut · 15/01/2006 20:56

Early learning centre ahve lots of different ball pits that can also be used as paddling pools - and the balls. Not too expensive either I don't think.

scroll down to submarine!

how cool is that?

i had a look on elc online and couldn't find anything, although i did see some in there the other day... strange

We have the top two - love ELC end-of-season sales

Bellie · 15/01/2006 21:04

DD had the submarine one for her birthday and loves it - definate hit with her.
Downside for me - always picking balls up from everywhere and does take a lot of room up in the house (definately not something that you let down and blow up every day!!)

starlover · 15/01/2006 21:06

hunker... we have that padding pool already! lol
maybe i should just buy balls and put in that... though i think it may get a bit crowded with his friends in too!

OP posts:
Marne · 15/01/2006 21:12

We have got the fishy one, its realy good and it has inflatable toys with it.

starlover · 15/01/2006 21:14

How abouta pop-up tent. Or one of those tunnels. They also fold down really small.
You can get them in ELC and other toy shops. Or on Ebay

starlover · 15/01/2006 21:19

yeah he has a tunnel... hmmm

dp said i am not allowed to buy him anything "big"

OP posts:
Marne · 16/01/2006 09:36

Mega blocks/ duplo ( another one of dd's best toys)?
A ride on toy?

Hazellnut · 16/01/2006 13:11

We got dd this activity cube for christmas and she loves it - mainly the bead thing at the top at the moment and a couple of the sides but think the other sides will come into their own later. Although its not that small, its not that big either and you can take the top off and put other things in it or invert the bead thing to make it pack away a bit smaller.

starlover · 16/01/2006 20:37

ok well we went to soft play today and linus spent the whole time in the ball pit! lol

so think i might go with it whatever dp says!
it's either that or some brio i think... boots had some half price
