trefusis, I'd guess that the reason your back clears up when you sleep naked is because you aren't sweating as much as you would in pjs, so your pores aren't getting as clogged with muck.

NomDePlume · 14/01/2006 15:05

i get the odd one on the top of my shoulder (sort of on the far ends of my collarbone), from where my bra straps are. I've got quite heavy norks (32E/F) and so the strap digs in and my skin must sweat more from the closeness of the manmade fabric, yucksville

TambaTheDragonSlayer · 14/01/2006 15:47

has anyone tried this?

There is also reviews of ProActive on this site

NomDePlume · 14/01/2006 15:50

TambaTheDragonSlayer · 14/01/2006 15:52

TambaTheDragonSlayer · 14/01/2006 16:02

proactive

Alot of reviews say that it became less affective after a while? HAve any users found that?

Mercy · 14/01/2006 16:36

I started getting spots on my chin and particularly round my jawline about a year and a half ago - and I'm 42 now It's not a good look - spots, wrinkles and greying hair.

What has started helping with the spots though is taking a good multi-vitamin and extra vitamin c.

Is it an hormonal thing do you think, or a sign of being run down?

cupcakes · 14/01/2006 17:03

I used Roaccutane a decade ago. The reason it is linked to birth defects is the high amount of vitamin A. I had to go on the pill as well. It kind of worked but I got really dry skin around my mouth which was unpleasant. Wish I had looked into more alternative methods at the time.
If you want to tweek your skincare routine I really recommend Dr Hauschka and also Liz Earle. And stop using night creams - I now really believe your skin needs to breathe at night. My skin has really improved since I weaned myself off night creams.

Tanzie · 14/01/2006 22:01

My Doc in Uk prescribed Dalacin T antibiotic lotion. Cleared them up a treat. Apparently shpots on your chin over (ahem) a certain age are ususally due to hormones - like that oh so attractive beard as well...

notasheep · 14/01/2006 22:04

My GP has ALWAYS blamed the zits on HORMONES.
42yrs old and still getting them.

Not wearing any make up does help

Mercy · 14/01/2006 22:30

I have lotsh of shpots at this time of night Tanzie

Tanzie · 14/01/2006 22:47

I have shpotsh all over my top, but they're red wine ones.

sarahinphuket · 15/01/2006 03:27

Does the ProActive stuff dry your skin out? I normally have to use a moisturiser which is probably why I get so many spots.

Also, does anyone know if they can deliver it overseas? I'm in Thailand so don't know if it would get to me or not

NomDePlume · 15/01/2006 10:05

sarahinphuket, there must be a pharmacy/skincare website that stocks it and ships internationally. There must be. I'll have a google

NomDePlume · 15/01/2006 10:09

Lots of ebay sellers selling proactiv will ship worldwide . Still looking for a standard shopping site that will.

sarahinphuket · 15/01/2006 13:20

wow thanks NDP
will have a look on ebay
